Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how SAVY collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: email address, display name and the expense data you enter. SAVY never connects to your bank accounts and collects no card data. If you choose to add repayment details (see below), they are stored so that others can pay you back.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the SAVY service: storing your expenses, syncing data across devices, and enabling household collaboration. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Purchases and subscription
SAVY Plus purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). SAVY receives no card data. To know whether you subscribe, we use RevenueCat, which receives your SAVY account identifier and the purchase information sent by the store (product, dates, status). We keep your subscription status and purchase identifier for support.
Repayment details
You can optionally add a PayPal.me name, a Revolut tag and bank details (account holder, IBAN, BIC). Only you and the current members of the households where you chose to show them can see them; access is removed when a member leaves the household. They are never sent to our analytics tools nor included in exports, and they are deleted with your account. SAVY moves no money: the app only opens PayPal or Revolut, or shows your details.
Exports
With SAVY Plus, a member can export a household's expenses and repayments as CSV or PDF. The export contains members' first names and their share of each expense, never email addresses or bank details. The file is created on the phone and shared by the user.
Usage Analytics
We measure how the app is used with PostHog, hosted in Europe: screens viewed and actions taken (for example "expense added"), without amounts, names, email addresses or bank details. You can turn this off at any time in the app (Profile → Preferences).
Sign in with Apple or Google
If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address (possibly hidden by Apple) and your name, never your password. When you delete your account, the authorization given to SAVY through Apple is revoked.
Notifications
To send you notifications (expense added, budget, SAVY Plus), we store a notification token for your phone. It is deactivated when you sign out. You can turn notifications off in your phone settings, and SAVY Plus notifications in the app (Profile).
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase as our database provider, which is SOC 2 Type II certified.
Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account directly from the app, or email privacy@savy-app.com for any other request.
